Privacy notice: Shoplet waitlist
Version 2026-10-17. This notice is a draft and is under review.
Shoplet is run by ASV Labs. This notice covers the waitlist on this site: the "request to join" form and the emails that follow. Questions or requests: SaltyEngineer@asv-labs.com.
What we collect
- Your email address.
- Whether you're interested in buying, selling or both, and whether you build AI agents.
- The referral code you arrived with, if any, and your own referral code.
- Which version of the consent wording you agreed to, and when.
- When you asked to join, confirmed, or unsubscribed.
- A one-way, keyed hash of your IP address and of your browser's user-agent string. We can't turn these back into the original values; we use them only to spot abuse such as automated sign-ups.
We use one cookie, which keeps the form secure (it stops other sites submitting forms in your name). We don't use analytics, advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and our emails don't track opens or clicks.
Why we use it
- To check that the address belongs to you (we email a confirmation link before adding you).
- To email you about your request and the Shoplet Alpha, including when there's a place for you.
- To count how many people joined through each referral link.
- To protect the form from abuse.
We use your information because you asked to join and agreed to these emails. You can withdraw that agreement at any time by unsubscribing.
How long we keep it
- Requests you never confirm: deleted after 30 days.
- Confirmed requests: kept while the waitlist is running. We'll set a fixed deletion date before general launch and update this notice.
- If you unsubscribe: we delete the IP and user-agent hashes and keep your email address with the date you unsubscribed, so we can make sure we never email you again. Ask us and we'll delete it entirely.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it for advertising. Service providers handle it for us under contract:
- Our email provider, Resend, which delivers our emails and so processes your email address and the messages we send you.
- Our hosting and network providers, which run the servers and protect the site. Their systems see your IP address when you visit and keep short-lived technical logs for security.
These providers may process data in the United States.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from every email with the link at the bottom of any of them. It takes effect immediately.
- Ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to SaltyEngineer@asv-labs.com. We'll reply within 30 days.
- Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or restrict how we use your information, and to complain to your data protection authority.
Children
The waitlist is for adults. Please don't join if you're under 18.
Changes
If we change this notice we'll update the version above, and if the change is significant we'll email people on the list before it takes effect.
